The ancients prized Topaz as a stone of divine majesty. Topaz gets its name from the Greek word “topazin” which may originate from the Sanskrit tapas, meaning “fire”. It is believed to dispel enchantments, detect poisons-even render the wearer invisible at will. It rivals aquamarine in color & charm. Topaz was one of the 12 stones in Aaron’s breastplate, Exodus 39.
