“Beauty from ashes!" The Mt. Saint Helen's volcanic eruption on May 18, 1980, occurred in Washington State and blanketed portions of the northwestern United States with a thin layer of volcanic ash. The eruption has often been declared as the most disastrous volcanic eruption in United States history. The eruption was preceded by a two-month series of earthquakes and steam venting episodes. Mt. Saint Helen stone is made from the volcanic ash.7.5MM standard round brilliant hand cut by us, with a carat weight of 1.49ct. We handmade the split shank ring using Argentium silver, which is purer than sterling & very tarnish resistant, requiring only an occasional wipe with a soft cloth. We handmade the bezel to keep a clean modern look and to protect the stone. The color is a beautiful blue-green or teal color and the stone is amazingly brilliant, which is hard to capture with photographs. |
